Here you'd think R & L and the sounds of the 2 letters are completely different, but apparently they see and hear things a bit different.
What's funny is that I have a Vietnamese and a Ukranian friends who I have been helping with their english. I grabbed the Ukranian's jaw to help him sound the difference between Shirt and Short. He's got it after 3 days of a sore jaw. My Vietnamese friend can now say BasketBall instead of 'Bakas-barl', and 'Exit' instead of 'Ass-sit'.
