lite-on 411s help

i am using fuji TYG02 dvd-r

with lite-on 411s (FS0F), i can only burn at 1x. but the playback on my apex ad-703 is perfect.

now, with firmwares FS0H, FS0J, and FS0K, i could burn at 4x. but the playback on my standalone is bad. even at 2x.

is there anyway i could burn at 4x with FS0F

In my experience the best firmware for the 411s is to convert the drive to a 811s with the zebra mod then use FS0F firmware. I get better burns using the zebra mod with DVD-R media. I use my Liteon mostly for Kprobe scans. Liteon drives tend to like DVD+R media than DVD-R media. Check this link for the 411s mod to 811s drive:

Use DVD+R (YUDEN000T01 or RICOHJPNR01)

i dont know to use the command line to load patcher.exe then create the new .bin

Sorry I can't remember the instructions on how to mod the 411@811. Research at the Liteon Forum and at Speedlabs.org. and post questions there and someone will help you out. I had some diffculty modding it myself.
