    When I have used something like camepg to combine files of avi to make a full movie then use tmpge to convert to mpg's my system locks up. I know this is a stupid question but what is the difference, mpg and mpeg and why am I having so many problems? Just kidding this is fun. I am glad I found this site. I think it will help.
