How do get 10 secs off a dvd film

Hi thanks for looking at my post. I have a dvd and would like to take off the film/documentary a 10 sec clip and and also 20 secs from thw menu extras and use it in a powerpont presentaton, how would i do this? Copyright i have the owners permission to do it if i can, thanks zydol

I don't know about the powerpoint presentation but you can use DVD Shrink to extract the 10 sec and 20 sec clips. I hope that helps somehow.

Although there are many ways to do that, I would use DVDShrink to extract only the 10 sec documentery clip along with it's audio. If the Menu extras is a motion menu, then you can use shrink to extract it also. If the Menu extras is a still image, then simply extract it with PowerDVD, VirtualDub-Mod or whatever.

Thanks for the reply, i have got dvdshrink but not sure i how i do it, do i copy the wholedisc to the hard drive then take it from there or can i just take the 10secs from the disc, sorry if i seem thick just started it this sort of thing cheers zydol
