Lately every time I try to convert a avi file to mpeg the audio is off. i have use virtual dubb to convert the sound to a wave file and use tmpgenc to convert to mpeg. I have use goldwave to add silence to the beginning of the file, but after 30 secs the sound is off. The avi file plays fine. I have de-multiplex the file and put it back together. I even tried using virtual dub to re-save the file as an avi. Now the video freezes every ten secs. Using XP/900mhz/256

I have read that you have to cut a second or two off the begging of the audio to work correctly. To avoid this I just use TMPGenc, I never have a problem.
