I converted an AVI file to MPEG1 using the Panasonic encoder but the audio does not keep pace with the video once it is converted. before converting it, everything is ok but after the audio is about 1 second ahead of the video. Any ideas... should I use a different encoder???
thanks for your help.

Sorry for the previous answer, i was to quick.
Yes i had the same problem.
1st : Did you try to encode with a Variable Bit Rate ?
If yes ,then try TMPG Encoder. It is very usefull. The quality is near a vhs tape with a variable Bit Rate and 100 %
quality. There is no problem between video and audio.
I encoded a 80 mn vidéo , good quality 352 x 288 (bit rate 1000 - 1650) on a 800 Mo CD.
So, have a nice try.
