Can't encode VIDEO_TS>avi with 0.0.9p

Since upgrading to 0.0.9p I can't encode from video_ts to avi, or anything else it seems. I re-downloaded and re-installed all the binaries and everything seems to work fine (preview, cropping, etc). It scans properly and then starts to encode for a few seconds before it's done, leaving an empty avi file. I've tried various codecs and source folders, deleted everything and reinstalled (including prefs), repaired permissions, but it's always the same.

Very strange. I've been using the app for quite some time and I don't think I've done anything wrong.

Any ideas?

Current mencoder build seemed to have some issues with subtitles (and I'm working to compile a newer build fixing them), but I didn't notice any problem with VIDEO_TS. Try to revert to the previous binary to see if it solves.

No, I wasn't working with subtitles at all. Just straight video _ts to mencoder avi with sources I had already used successfully with previous versions. So I reinstalled the previous binaries and app and now everything is working fine. I'll stick with version .9o for the moment. Can't imagine what the problem was.
