Error messages

urgent help needed.

Im having loads of error messages appearing in both tmpgenc xpress and nero vision



i load avi files into both programs but always getting messages saying invalid file format and other messages.

why is this when ive converted avi files before and had no problems.

or is the actual avi file?

im getting ready to smash the pc up lol

Can you please be a little more specific about the "other messages"? It helps if we know the whole story.

this is the latest one ive been getting.

This occurs in TMPGEnc xpress mid way through coverting or preparing the file. i got this one at about 50 odd percent.

invalid sample format. (error code 0x80048002)

Is this a file that you've downloaded or is it one that you captured yourself?

It almost sounds as if there are errors in the original AVI. You might want to run it through VirtualDub and have it check for bad frames. Might not be the answer, but it's one place to start.

its a file ive downloaded. i will try the program uve listed and let you know what it says

it's a bug in the trial version of Xpress.
