Ive just finished building up this workstation last night.....what do you think of this setup?
Sure its not much, but with an audio and video setup together, I am quite happy with this setup. As you may notice I have cables running off the side of the TBC-1000 going into the DV deck (not shown) and feeding the signal to the SVHS deck. I connected the TBC with the Sony VHS deck and have one output going to DV and the other output going to the camcorder, so whenever I need to get video into the laptop I can do it this method. Not bad eh? I also got the tape deck, record turntable and an audio output feed from the DVD player so that I can record TV audio (or video game audio output as well) seperate from the video.
Did a few audio captures with Audition and works beautifully, and video captures with Premeire is just as good. Now just have to get into Encore, Photoshop and eventually, After Effects.
And of course I have alot of good material on cassette tapes to I got connected to get into the computer as well to eventually transfer to CD.
Ain't technology great?

Nice setup VTM. The TBC-1000 is a sweet piece of gear isn't it?
One thing - those are interesting shelf supports for the top shelf. What are those? -
Those are glass supports that are supporting the second shelf....a good friend of mine had several of those lying around the house and suggested me to have them to use for shelf supports for the monitors. If im not mistaken I believe that those are normally used for outside walls, whenever you want to have like a glass-like wall or something like that, and you can find those at the hardware stores. Anyway they fitted nicely for the shelf and makes great supports for the 2 monitors. Why spend hundreds of dollars on a workstation table when some of the things you can make out of things around the house looks just as good?Originally Posted by Capmaster

VTM - Agreed.
So they're glass blocks. I couldn't identify them seeing them end-on in the pic. 8) -
You have a very similar set up to me.
