I think it only accepts MPEG-2 files, so your gonna have to find a way to get your vcd's to mpeg-2 standard. Try converting them to half-d1 size. I'm not sure how it will turn out.. I only have experience putting VCD files on CD not DVD.

You can use tmpgenc dvd author to import vcd mpg1 without re-encoding,tda will also resample the audio to 48khz at the same time.

well chobo, point of doing it mpeg1 is to save alot of space. plus source isnt super great to start with so doing mpeg2 is taking up more space than its worth.
but thanks though. i might just use TDA and do it w/o menus -
I had trouble with this too. Are they elementary streams or are you inputting the file as a multiplexed MPEG? I couldn't get it to do .m1v files but someone told me it would do the VCD file as is....Originally Posted by Solarflair

Wasnt multiplexed, because i dont know what that even means. What i did was convert 640x480avi to 720x480mpeg1 but changed audio to 48hzOriginally Posted by fmctm1sw

720x480 mpeg1 is not standard
352 x 240 pixels MPEG1 (Same as the VCD Standard) -
what i mean is make vcd quality mpeg1 videos and put them on dvd media. issue would be dvd compliant not vcd compliant.Originally Posted by guns1inger

You can fill the entire DVD with 352x240 mpeg1 files, if you want. DVDlab looks at 720x480 and sees that it is not mpeg2. Then it will not use it because it knows your DVD player cannot play it. It has to be 352x240 to be mpeg1 and compatible with DVD standard.Originally Posted by SolarflairYour miserable life is not worth the reversal of a Custer decision.
