Having Audio Sync Issues.
I’m interested in making MPEG2 files to watch on my PC. I’m not at all interested in burning CD’s and most of what I read is about just that.
I’m using;
SmartRipper 2.41
DVD2AVI v1.85
TMPGEnc v2.02
System is:
WinXP
Athlon 1.53GHz
VIA KT266A (DDR)
GF3 (Elsa920)
Panasonic 16X DVD
Live 5.1
RAID 0+1 with 120GB HD space
1- Using SmartRIP is simple.
2- About DVD2AVI:
a- Is “Force Film” part of my problem? The Austin Powers DVD RIPS at 24.000fps, NOT 23.976, so does the Shrek DVD.
b- What about Audio. 48 to 44k? Decode Dolby Digital? Data rates are very high data rate 384 and 448.
c- in both cases it claims 4:3, 720 X 480.
3- About TMPGEnc:
a- The preset settings for MPEG2 encode at 480 X 480 ??? WHY?
b- Does audio rate need to match original? By default there all 112 or 224.
c- I’ve read a few Guides and none have worked out. Audio sync is still way off.
Are there any detailed guides for ripping DVD to MPEG2?

Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!
