That's cool, but I don't see a prop. or engine on the one that's pictured, either. Where's that 50mph coming from?

  2. Its a pusher. The engine is on top of the wing facing rearward. In that pic it has a black cover over it.

I noticed that, but I just thought it was a framework for mounting an engine and it's anot a very good picture to see the prop. i thought I saw it and then realized it was a part to another plane. Maybe the wing is covering most of it up. Need a rear view pic.

  4. Here is one that is similar, but this is the two seat version. Not a lot of pics of this plane online...

The wing style of this one looks different from the previous one. Which wing design are you doing a custom job? I bet I can make it go faster than 50mph. Take it to max altitude and then nose down. You should take off the wheels and put lightweight pontoons on it. Then you can go fishing with it. That would be cool. It says it's gross wieght is 468lbs., but generally what is the weight capacity for these?

    Here's one with skis. 8)

500 lbs gross is the limit for ultralights, over that you have to register it with the FAA

I wont be doing any customizing... I don't wanna die! LOL

There are tons of little lakes/ponds in the Sierra Nevadas near where I live that are only accessable via air. That would be awesome to go find one with fish that have never seen a hook before!

I live in Las Vegas. That was the whole reason why I was wondering if you could put pontoons on it. It'd be pretty cool to land on one of those lakes and just camp out. I think you need to get the 2 seater and bring a girl.

The wieght max for registration is what I wanted to know. Do you still need a flight license?

No license is reqired for ultralights, but you do need training unless you want to die...

There are companies that make pontoons for ultralights and the groos weight can increase 20 pounds to account for them. They're really light .

Eventually I'll get a 2 seater light sport airplane, but you will need a light sport license for those. Ultralight training counts toward airtime and training needed for a light sport license too

I never really figured what my GPS coords are, but I doubt you'll get near me. I'm around the airspace of the N. Las Vegas airport and Nellis jets also fly overhead. Let alone McCarran having planes everywhere. I doubt they'll let you land an ultralight. But it would be nice to have the lawn watered during restricted days.

I don't think we have actual GPS coordinates. The satellites can't penetrate the tops of the pine trees!

No need for Napalm. Pine burns easily and quickly. A maltov cocktail will do just fine while giving you a good warm air current to ride.
