Sure, get DVDShrink and DVDDecrypter. Click on one of the aforementioned program names and it'll take you to the download. Both are freeware. Open the disc in DVDShrink, it'll analyse and set compression automatically to fit the file(s) onto a DVDR. Hit Backup and a dialog will pop up. Set it to create an ISO image and check the box that says burn with DVDDecrypter. Click O.K. and away you go! That should be enough to get you going. But please, read some guides over there <---, lots of good ones.

Typically, commercial dvd's are dual layer while your DVD-r's are not. That means that many commercial DVD's hold twice as much information as your DVD-r. You can do two things to make it fit onto the smaller disk...lose some of the extras and compress it. DVDshrink will compress it, but at high compression levels the quality will suffer. For best quality delete as much as you can, e.g. extra scenes and languages, and use the lowest amount of compression.Originally Posted by daballplaya2125"Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa

Of course, for the sake of the site, it is preferred that you actually own the DVDs you will be making copies of.

Yes, I assumed that we were referring to copying movies that are actually owned, as opposed to borrowed or rented. That way you can save wear and tear on the originals and $$$ by avoiding buying 2nd copies. Advocating anything illegal is against forum policy and could get this site in trouble.Originally Posted by RowMan"Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa

Yeah. Comcast has a new service called "On Demand" which transmits many pay-per-view movies cheaply or even free!

dvdshrink and dvddecrypter don't have ne viruses or ne thing like that attached to the downloadable program that can mess my computer?
-
Yes, they both come with nasty nasty viruses. You should avoid using them at all costs.
And while you're at it, stop pirating movies.
