I was thinking of getting the Hauppauge Nova-t. We have some free dvb-t channels in sweden and it would be fun to test it.

it seems to work some 3party tools also like mytheatre. and you can use the technotrend drivers.
Should I buy or do you recommend some other dvb-t cards?

the 2000-t USB box looks good, you can connect to PC via USB and also connect to your TV.

i opted for a humax pvr-8000t box. DVB receiver with 40GB hard drive, very pleased with it

I don't need to connect the card direclty to a tv. I already have a xcard so I can play the captured material on the tv. And maybe will joveplayer, a xcard video player, support dvbt in the future so I can view live on the tv(it now only support dvbs using mytheatre).

i think i would still go for a USB version, easy to swap to another PC if needed and won't tie up your system if you're capturing a show to watch later.

	or maybe the twinhan card

I just want a cheap card. It is mainly for testing digital tv.

Not even for a 40cm one? Attisat design?

 Anyway:
Hauppauge has great German support. Officially and unofficially.
I also know, that it used to sell a lot in Berlin, 'cause there, they have only DVB/T, they don't have analogue terrestrial transmissions anymore!!!

I don't know about twinhan. It looks excellent and maybe is, but I don't know about it.

Baldrick, don't buy the Hauppauge card, it is absolute rubbish. I know, I used to own one. Check out the Nebula card instead. I know its more expensive, but its ten times better. I use it a lot for grabbing DTT in the UK.

I have also checked it out and it get good reviews. But can you use it with other dvb software also?Originally Posted by energy80s

i think I will wait...not many dvb tools supports dvb-t cards

Things have changed a lot in the past year or so with the Hauppauge/TechnoTrend cards. The version 2.xx software is rock solid and provides EPG, subtitles and scheduled recordings, something missing from the earlier software.Originally Posted by energy80s

People are having HUGE problems with the Nebula cards too, and their technical support has been declining recently, while Hauppauge UK are more responsive.
