hi...I need some help...
If i have a fast computer like AMD thunderbird 1.2GB or Pentium 4 1.3 and IBM 40GB ATA100 7200RPM hard disk
which card should i buy
Lifeview FM98(capture AVI 1st) or Pinnacle Studio VCD(MPEG REAL-TIME)??
can i know which way is better way(better quality) to capture video from VHS tape...
.capture in AVI 1st then convert or MPEG in real-time????

I'd go for the Lifeview card. If you have a fast computer like you said then you can capture to mpg in realtime without dedicated hardware. If this doesn't give you satisfying quality, then just capture using avi. This gives you best of two worlds..
