    Hi

I have just bought Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection so I can make Bluray (BD) disks of my own HD cam-corder taken films of the kids.
The software that came with the cam was really bad..
Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection, is very easy to work with, and has a lot of features.
However, the last part I cannot seem to get right.

I want to create ISO files that are Bluray files, so I can watch the films using my Cyberlink PowerDVD software on my Multimedia center. I would in said case mount them with Daemon Tools.

Pinnacle Studio lets me save the film with everything as a directory structure, with a BDMV and CERTIFICATE folder as top folders.
I have tried using Power To Go (Cyberlinks burnsoftware) to create a BD disk, I have tried to use Ulead Burning, and I have even tried using DVDFab.
With the burn software, I do get iso-files out, but my PowerDVD (Version 8, Ultimate, that plays iso-files of bought'n'ripped Bluray films perfectly) states the the disk is wrong format.
DVDFab gives me an error straight away.

Does anyone have any experience in this, or even better.. A good solution as what should I do?
    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Jens,
I am sorry, but I don't have an answer to your question, but instead I wanted to ask what your thoughts are re Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection?

I just bought a Sony hard disk camcorder, myself and looked at the eval version of the Sony Vegas program that came with it, but found it both limiting (no video montage) and difficult. So I've downloaded Pinnacle 14, which seems both easier to use and more featured, however it has crashed a couple of times, but no data was lost.

The eval time is only 15 days and the total costs are not exactly trivial, so I was wondering what you think of Pinnacle.

Most postings seem to be for earlier versions not for v14.

    Thanks in advance,

@JensFudge : You can use Imgburn to create an ISO file, however if you don't need a BluRay structure then why not just output an m2ts file for online viewing, and bluray only for burning to bluray ?

Regardless, Imgburn is the tool you need.

@pszilard : check your other post re : Pinnacle Vs Vegas. Bottom line - Pinnacle has never been a stable tool in any version.

Thanks guns1inger. I've found quite a good tutorial for Vegas HERE, but I don't want to hijack this thread. Instead if you can direct me to some other good learning/tutorial area either on these forums or elsewhere, I would be grateful.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for reply Gunslinger:
    Sorry for my late reply...

I want to make iso-files of the my films, as I am using MyMovies for my dvd's and blurays. This way, even my 6 year old daughter would be able to start the films.
Having to browse through a file system is difficult for her.

My thoughts of Pinnacle: Well.. I havent really used it yet, as I have been trying to figure out how to make bluray films..
The little I have used it though, is enough to not exactly encourage others to buy it. There are really many errors in it. Especially when you go back and forth in the process of making films. Seems like the programmers never anticipated anyone to press the "back" button.
There support is crappy too, you might as well ask your front door the question.

I had to ask here in this forum to get an answer about the bluray creation, as they dont have a clue themselves.

    Regards
