    Afternoon,

too early to go home and no point in starting anything new here in the office so... If you could take a DVD recorder (whichever flavour you like, RAM+/-RW) back in time plug it into a tv ariel and record shows to bring back to the present what would they be?

Can be anything, documentaries, scifi, events, news...

    Cheers

  3. everything I recorded on VCR from 1979 to present to save me the time of capturing and encoding it 8)

For me, it would mostly be music videos or perfomances.

Maybe record the local show I was on when I was a kid but I already have super 8 film of that.

There are some TV shows that got cancelled early and never aired again in reruns - maybe some of those.

I think some of the newscasts would be entertaining, like from the late '40s and early '50s

If I could time travel, what I would probably do is go back to 1975 or 1976 Albuquerque, offer Bill Gates a few hundred thousand dollars to fund his new business in exchange for 50% of the future profits. Then come back to the present and buy DVDs and tapes of all the old shows directly from the networks and studios. Money would be no object.

Smart arse. i'd take back a range of old PC's and all the source code for DOS, win 3.1, 95 and XP. maybe when i stepped back into 2004 my computer wouldn't crash anymore Be a bit weird i suppose, poor old Bill with billions of dollars of software, but no one with a PC to run it...
