Audio out of sync with mainconcept encoder

I am converting VCD/SVCD to DVD using mainconcept encoder and everything workds out fine except for the "SmartRendering Disabled errors" but i really don't know if those are bad or good...but i go to author the movie and then i burn it to a VERBatim DVD-R and when i play it on my standalone the audio is out of sync...i tried to create a dvd in Tmpgenc but it always says "File xxxxxxxxxxxxx can not be created" when i go to the start the encoding processs, and i have the MPEG2 vfapi all the way at da top with a priority of 10...PLEAZE HELP

ar you following a guide for doing this?
it could be that some settings in your encoder needs to be tweaked or your sound ripped and converted seperatley... trying following one of the guides around here or using an app that does the whole proccess toghether...

thankx for da reply, can u point me in the direction of the a good guide that can teach me to separate them...which guide do u use to convert vcd/svcd to dvd
