Check the media and see if it comes with CPRM.....if it does - that's the source of your problem.....get a RW disk without CPRM
"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." -

PLEASE ANSWER MY EASY QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 -
It's amazing that so many people use this site but very rarely can
somebody answer a question striat forward. -
I know its true. But be thankful that you did not get a bunch of bad advice or total and complete bs. There is a lot of bad advice here, and this reply may not be wrong, the guy has been off line, and nobody else knows the answer yet.
Give it a week.
Or reinstall powerDVD, just an idea.

Search this site and Google. It only took a few seconds for me to find out what CPRM is. I don't know anything about it so your better off reading what I read.
Your frustrated. We've been there. This site is great for helping us troubleshoot problems but it is rare that someon asks a question and right away gets the answer that solves the problem.
Keep asking questions and doing searches. You'll solve this one and there will be another problem waiting for you.

I haven't found that to be so. I regard the advice I get as suggestions of things to try and they are almost always helpful. If you had a choice between all the "official" support that comes with your hardware and software or this site which would you choose? I'd choose this videohelp.com and it wouldn't be close. There is a lot of bad advice here -
That error code/message is because PowerDVD cannot find the area code for the DVD (RPC-2) to match against the area code for your pc's DVD drive and any area code in PowerDVD itself....all hardware after 2000 are RPC-2 protected.
Try this (it has a free trial) to see if that fixes your problem..
http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm
Or try playing the DVD with VLC (videolan) on your pc.

Yeh, Sorry for my impatience. Bought a new Dvd burner and
I'm very anxious to see it work.
Thanks for all the help, I know sooner or later someone will help.
