  3. you don't list your location but if you live in america you can go to Blockbuster video. they throw out hundreds of cases every month. I talked to the manager at my local branch and he sells them to me 10 for $1. may not pan out for you but its worth a try

  5. I'm curious as to why they throw out cases?

    Are we talking about the Amray type cases, like AOL disks and retail DVD's come in?

    Yup Blockbusters does dump the cases. My uncle in San Francisco gets the cases from his local Blockbusters. They said they dump the original dvd cases and use their own. Go figure!

  7. Yup they usually throw them out. The manager at my local store is cool, he'll just give them to me, no dumpster diving or paying. They use their own special locking cases.

    my local video store uses the ones with the locks on em, saves em going thru the big-ass drawers.. they prob do something similar

    If you're in the UK, the cheapest I've seen is 8p each for single cases if you buy 100 or more from www.blankdiscshop.co.uk They do very cheap Ritek printable discs too £8.62 for 25 if you order 4 packs.
    Postage is £3.99 regardless of how many you order.
