When I try to convert an AVI-file to MPEG1 with TMPGEnc (to burn as a VCD later), TMPGEnc totally freezes. The AVI is not a DivX, but encoded with Windows Video and Windows Audio (according to the properties in the Media Player). So I assume this is not a standard AVI-file? How can I convert it into MPEG1? Do I need a special codec or plug-in (from Windows Media maybe??)?
