  1. This technically isn't a capturing issue, but it is a video card issue. I've had my computer for about 1-2 months now and I just tried to use the video out jack on my ATI Radeon 9800 for the first time and got nothing. I restarted with my camcorder connected and on and still got nothing. I tried going through system settings and ATI's software but found nothing to activate the video port. I then tried rebooting with my monitor unplugged and just the camcorder connected... still no luck. I'm out of ideas - does anyone know what I can do to make it work? I have a .swf file I want to archive to digital8. I'm trying to use the video out port on my ATI card to send the video to the camera. I know the camera works because I tested it from a VCR (and I can also hear the sound from the cpu coming in while I'm missing video). Thanks for the help!

P.S. - I looked through a bunch of stuff on converting .swf to avi and/or into Vegas 5 but none of it was working for me so I thought this to be the easiest solution... but now it's not working either. Grrr... Whoever said technology saves time was poorly mistaken. But I can't help but love it! I guess it's sort of a dysfunctional relationship.

isn't this setting under the "Display Properties"-Advanced-displays tab? Maybe I'm wrong, but this is how to get the "TV out"-figured it must be the same for "out to camcorder"
