I'm running XP and am coonected to a wired and wireless network. i have both connections visible in my task bar, but is there a way i can visually differentiate them without the pop-up text labels? could i make one green instead of blue or something?

stick a post-it on the bottom of your monitor and write on it which one is which
i suppose you could edit the colors on the icon. i dont know how to do it, but im sure it could be done -
Just wondering, I can understand for signal stuff and all, but why do you need a wired network icon in your task bar? I never have got that, either its working or its not. Its kinda like stareing at christmas lights?

I have my wired connection on the taskbar. I use it to know if my computer is actively transferring data. So if a webpage is taking a long time to load, or a file download does not appear to be working, I can look and see if data is being sent back to me. If so, I just wait longer. If not, I cancel it and try agian.Originally Posted by Flaystus"A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct."

This house has a lot of different machines, as you may have noticed
