    I have a Sony DCR-TRV19 camcorder and I want to get a wide angle lens for it, but I don't know much about them. What is the difference between a .5x lens and a .45x lens? Which one would be wider? Sony's wide angle lens is $200, but I see them on e-bay for $50. Why are the e-bay lenses so much cheaper?

    I want a wide angle lens so I can film outdoors without having to back up or pan around as much. What size lens do I need?

    The .45 would be wider.
