HI ,
I bought a Terratec capture TV card.
If I try to record from VCR with the software that came along ..I canīt get 352 by 288 the video is cracked and the bodempart of it is green.
I thought I try another capture program: Virtual Dub, also Win VCR and also AVI IQ but all the same the 352/ 288 all the same results! ONLY 320 / 240 works good
Can someone PLEASE help ME??
Thanks....

If I do record it on 320/240 and convert it with TMPG( to 352/288 VCD) would that be a big Quality loss? Instead of capture on 352 /288 and covert it the same way??

I don't know about big but yes, there should be a quaility lost. There's a lot of debate about this, but generately you want to capture your desired resolution or above. Capturing below will cause some lost in quaility.
Q: what do you mean the video is cracked? -
With cracked I mean : the video looks like itīs pushed in 3 parts . I see 3 horizontal lines and the part ( Below ) that would be the extra that would make it 352/288 is totally green!

Ahh, then it definetly sounds like you card can't capture at that resolution, sorry.

? Thanks for your replies by the way!!
