    Hello peoples I have just backed up my first copy of a dvd.Everything went fine until I tried to burn it it ripped in 30 minutes but it took 3 hours to burn is this normal or is it me.I have nero 6 and a Sony DRU 150 + & -.The movie was finding nemo so it wasn't that big cheers

    did the actual burn process take that long? or did this include encoding too?

    Just the burn it said writting files and the timmer down the bottom read 3.4 hours to go and that was it

    i had that prob if i did too many things before i actually burnt the disc. sometimes memory gets overloaded. i restart after every burn just to be carefull. i would also defrag your hard drive

    as the post above sugests that is quite a possible reason. another reason could be lack of ram. how much ram/memory does your pc have? a friend of mine just bought a dvd burner and complained it took hours to burn then i found out he only had like 128mb ram or something crazy like that so i told him to go get more ram. he got 512mb and now it burns at full 4x in round 15mins.
