    I was using nero 5.0 and it worked perfectly fine. I wanted to ungrade so i could add menus to my vcd's. I installed the new version of nero 5.564 and now it will not recognize my cd burner. I have an HP-writer 8200a (usb) and i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but end up with the same problem. If anyone has any idea what the problem could be, your help would be greatly appreciated!

    yes it was hooked up during installation both when i installed 5.0 and when i tried installing 5.5
