2gig file limit / DV tools

I have the Pinnacle DV500 and I can't capture more then 2 Gig -- I thought I had read that that limit had been done away with. I am using the DV tools as that is the only thing I can get to capture off the sony DV camcorder.

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

You need to visit the Pinnacle site and download Version 3
that will take care of your 2gb problem. Also make sure you are using the open dml.

Oh one other thing -- What is a dml. I will have to look that up.

When you capture in Premoere I think you go to setting then video format and you have 2 choices avi 1 or open dml the first will only go up to 2 gb the second has no limit. This is in the DV500 control settings I'm not sure if the option is in DV Tools or not.

It's only in Premier. The next driver gonna have the same options.

Got DV500 3.0 software downloaded -- thank God for high speed -- 201MB. Had to load it three times -- forgot to diskconnect camcorder. Works great -- 12gigs captured with no problems -- but now I'm having problem with TMPGEnc.
