I was reading a golf magazine in the doctor's office this afternoon. And 'they' rated some vodka MADE IN FRANCE as being the best tasting by a 'group of experts.'

And I'm thinking 'What the **** is this?!' because Finlandia and Absolut were WAY lower on the list...

Maybe drinking wine coolers isn't so bad. After all, since when did wine coolers have standards! :P

You know how hard it is to get a true vodka made from potatoes in the States? I was at big martini bar last week and they only had 1 (Chopin)and it was like $7 a shot.....

BTW, most vodka now a days is made from grain

I'm a grain vodka fan myself. Why would anybody want vodka made from potatoes? I mean, when I think grain and barley, I think America's Heartland, or the Steppes of the Ukraine.

When I think of potatoes, I think of a bunch of starving Irish emigrants. Or two kids at McDonalds being tight-up with the fry scooper while pouring enough salt on the fries to make the Juiceman have a cardiac episode.

Try Shakers vodka, it's grown and distilled here in Minnesota. I picked up a bottle the other day and was surprised at how easy it was. I can drink it neat no problems. Haven't tried their rye vodka, just their wheat one. They also make a rose-flavored one that sounds interesting.

Don't know if I can find that in Arizona. And not around here, methinks. We're a little aways from civilization. In much the same way the Rub' al Khali could be considered a nice place to get away from Riyadh.

I mean, I have problems finding Finlandia Cranberry up here. And that's just fucked up, man. :P
