I pulled a tv show off of a videotape. (352 X 480)
I was working on figuring the best bitrate, etc. when I noticed that the converted movie was having a slight bit of jitter (playing on an APEX 1500 @ 2450 bitrate CBR).
I thought, ok I need to switch fields so I switched fields... same thing ???
Then I fast forwarded into the video (a couple of minutes) and the jitter was gone. (Very odd since the source AVI has no jitter.)
Another oddity was that when using DVD Movie Maker (stand-alone) (XSVCD format), it showed that if I encoded (setting in TMPGE the "A" field) it would say the clip was "B" field and vice versa if I encoded it the other way.
All I can say is this one is throwing me for a loop. I've encoded 2500 from the same tape and no problems. ??
Thanks,
Troy

Update.
Running the same AVI source through CCE does not have the jitter problem what so ever.
Go figure that one.
