couple of things...
i've successfully created a vcd that plays in my stand-alone dvd player...i downloaded a mpg file off the net and used vcdeasy to create the disc. Is that good software to use? Could I achieve better quality if I use tmpgenc?? What I’ve gathered from reading on tmpgenc is that I would take a mpg file and make it vcd mpg file…is that right?? Would I then take that vcd mpg file and burn to disc(software of my choice) or would I have to use vcdeasy to burn to disc?? I think that’s all for now![]()
thanks,
joey

You only need to use TMPGEnc if the mpg you downloaded isn't already a VCD file, if it is you will lose a lot of quality by re-encoding. If you look under the what is VCD link to the left it will tell you exactly what the VCD standard is, use VCDEasy's tolols (activate the advanced function and go to tools>mpeg scan) to tell you the details of your file.
