my dvd player jvcx525 only reads sony dvd +r can i burn a divx movie and burn it to a dvd+r and play it in my dvd player![]()

Yes, and no.
First you need to encode the divx into a dvd compliant mpeg.
Author it to dvd format, then burn to dvd+r.
