vcd question

hello , if i copy a dvd to a vcd using super dvd ripper does it still have the region or it can be played into every stand alone dvd player???

Haven't used that particular program, but I would assume if it rips, it decrypts the file and most likely renderers it region free. DVD to VCD will give you lousy quality, though. If your player can accept SVCD's, DVD2SVCD will give you much better quality. It's freeware and you should still be able to find the older TMPGEnc freeware encoder for it.
