I have a video sequence with spots on the lens. I need to painstakingly remove the spots from each frame of video. What is the best/fastest way to do this and still end up with a single AVI file with sound and video together as it was originally? I know how to use the healing tool in Photoshop, but I don't know how to extract and later reassemble individual frames. Is there a progam that will let me fix this easily without extracting frames into individual files?

DeLogo looks promising. However, I have a problem loading my AVI file into VirtualDub. At first I could not load it at all due to a missing codec. I tried the Canopus codec recommended elsewhere on this site and that did not work. I then tried the Mainconcept codec and that works, but the video is stretched to wide-screen even though it is not a wide-screen video. Any other ideas on how to get a digital AVI file to load properly in virtual dub?

It doesn't look like DeLogo is going to work. Lens spots change depending on how the light hits them. DeLogo is looking for constants.

i think you need software that supports frame editing.
edit studio does. didn't use it yet, though, so i don't know if it's easy or not.Music was my first love, and it will be my last -
I stand corrected. DeLogo doesn't completely remove the spots but it does reduce them somewhat. Thanks for the tip. Now if I can figure out why VirtualDub is stretching my image, I can actually use it.
