easiest dvd authoring program to use?stable?etc.

hello, i am trying to add effects,subtitles,titles,etc. to a home movie i captured,its already Mpeg2 format,all i want to do is spruce it up some,what program can i use to do this,i was using nerovision but it keeps crashing? its a shame after spending hours on something ,to only bam...!@#$#@!, its only 2.1gig movie(1hour 10min.+/-),i used virtualdub(huffy) to capture,then TMPGEnc to encode it,i know how to make the dvd,all i need is a decent program to add things like mentioed above"freeware" if possible,thanx.

Freeware? Thats's hard. But TMPGEnc DVD Author can do most of what you want. Effects and subtitles, I believe, are added before authoring. For freeware, check the 'Author' column to the left.
