Sonic ReelDVD rejects all my files

Hi, guys:
I tried to import elementary video stream encoded with TMPGEnc into ReelDVD and it was rejected with the following msg:
Error : Number of fields (13232) in GOP(# 1) or between sequence_header_code should be equal or smaller than 36.
(No details was provided in the "Details" tab)
ReelDVD rejected both VBR and CBR elementary stream files.
I then tried to feed program files, with mpeg2 audio, encoded in TMPGEnc, Cinema Craft and Ligos LSX - the same story, but with the different message, totally unrelated to the situation (DAR should be 4:3 or 16:9), even though mine is 4:3.
Did anyone have this kind of problem?

From your description it sounds like you are trying to use a mpeg2 file with the audio & video combined. Try splitting the audio & video into separate files then dragging both individually to your button or link. I once downloaded the demo version of Sonic's ReelDVD and it would not accept any of my mpeg2 A/V files until I separated them into an audio & video file. Good Luck!!!

Your GOP settings are incorrect. For NTSC you need to have no more than 18 frames (36 fields) per GOP. In TMPG the settings should be I=1, B=2, P=4. CCE m=3 m/n=4. These settings also allow for pulldown. When you have 23.976 fps video, then add pulldown, it adds fields/frames to each GOP, thereby increasing the total count.

Even if your using NTSC interlaced material, or PAL, the GOP settings above will also work.

I will have to investigate this problem further, using your advice. I really would not want to step down to using a program which does not accept elementary streams

Yes, correcting I,B,P settings solved the problem! ReelDVD now takes my m2v.
Somehow I assumed that the default settings are OK.
Incidentally, when I wrote "program files", I meant "system stream" (using the designation on the Settings screen of TMGEnc). My mind was occupied with terminology from various encoders I was trying in an attempt to solve that problem. Yes, ReelDVD does not take system streams.

I'm having the same problem, but I don't have the original files, so how could I fix it?
