I created an mpg from an avi using 2 different programs (Super DVD Creator and AVI2VCD), and the resulting mpgs have no errors that I can see when i play it on my computer.
I then burned a VCD using Nero, and another VCD using SuperDVD creator. Both VCD's have errors, scrambled video. I have never had problems using Nero before, with buring other types of disks. This is my first attempt at burning a VCD.
Is there a way I can check what my result will be before burning? I hate wasting disks!

First, use a CD-RW
Second, mount the disk image using Nero Image Drive or Daemon Tools -

Thanks, that will limit my troubleshooting at least. So the encoding is ok if the mpg's are ok? Nothing else is done to the actual file before burning, so I have to check my burning options?
