I am looking to buy a new VCR so that I can copy my pre-recorded VHS tapes on to my Pioneer DVD Recorder with built-in 80 GB hard drive.
I have seen good reviews for the following 2 VCRs - JVC HR-S7965 S-VHS and JVC HR-S8965 S-VHS, but I am not sure on which one to buy.
Any suggestions would be appreciated?
Thanks for any help.

I'm sure someone will come along with better info, but...
I've used 2 vcrs with my Cyberhome dvr to go from vhs to dvd. A Go Video dual deck and a very cheap old Emerson player. Both work great as long as there isn't copyright protection on the tape.
