Good morning!

i was cruisin' along the internet when I stumbled into this article. It's in dutch, but i'll give a english sum up

http://web.wanadoo.nl/internet_nieuws-34555-1.html

Upcoming monday a taiwaneese company (I guessing that it's lite-on? so I heard) with a new type of DVD. the Forward Versatile Disc.
When I first read the this article i was a little bit confused... I knew that in a couple of months the duallayerd discs would come on the market. Now this company is introducing the following discs...
a single sided discs wich can cotain 6 G and double sided that can contain 11 g. All with purpose for high quality videomaterial.
The best thing about these new discs, that it's compatible with the writers that are used nowadays...
So the question still is, are these duallayerd. Duallayerd are single sided with 2 discs pressed to one. while these new discs are double sided. In the end, there both duallayerd in a way

But I'm curious if this will get some grip in the media market. I think so.
Even with the knowledge that this 'standard' is compatible with all the DVD players en writers that are on the market....

I hope it was some usefull info to ya all!

see ya!
