  1. Hi,

First of all IŽd like to say hello to everybody, since I am new here!

Ok, my problem is as follows:
Whatever I do, my SVCD will only play in File-Mode on my Mustek-V520 (which should play nearly everything).
IŽve tried nearly every possible parameter in Nero that
always burns the MPEG file without complaining as a SVCD.
The same goes for image files.

The DVD player either doesnŽt accept the cd at all ("no disc&quot or shows the lenghts an the number of tracks but refuses to play.
However, if I burn the very same MPEG file as an ISO-CD
the DVD player will immediately recognize it and then plays
    it flawlessly in file mode.

    What am I doing wrong?
If you need any other information about my setting let me know.

Thank you very much in advance!

    Bye,
    Terratom

    Hi,

    Well, I tried different methods.
First of all I tried it with DVD2SVCD.
After the Ripping and encoding is done I just burn the image onto a blank cd.
However, the CD Player does not find the disc - it just keeps on searching for ages and then tells me that there is no disk present.

The same result when I try to burn it with Nero as a svcd.
However, if I just pick the MPEG file and burn it as an ordinary ISO-cd, the DVD player finds the file and I can play it.

Exactly the same when encoded with TMPEG or CCE.

This shows IMHO, that the MPEG file itself is OK, but
that there must be something wrong with the file system
or the structure created on the CD.

Apparently it doesnŽt matter which burning program i use:
Nero, EZCD, CDRWin etc. - the same results.
As soon as a SVCD-structure is created on the CD, the DVD player will not recognize it anymore.

Could this have anything to do with Windows XP, or any other setting that I might use the wrong way?

But since it works fine or your player this at least gives me the hope that I am only doing a tiny stupid mistake.

    Thanks anyway!
