Hi...
Maybe i am in a wrong forum...sorry if i made mistake
but my question is ......when i record movie from my SS2 card (using Progdvb) i have two problems:
1. I get "ghost" effect on some fast movin scenes (track on moving object)
2. I dont know hoe to convert that mpeg file i get when i finished recording which is roughly about 3 gig.. (into some avi 800-900 Mb)
p.s. I use Fairuse for converting DVD to AVi...is there similar progy for problem No.2 that is simple and great as FairUse
Thanks

I think the ghosting effect you refer to is interlacing. If you were burning to DVD this wouldn't be a problem but if you plan on viewing the movie on your PC you will have to de-interlace when you convert. For converting to Divx I would recommend Dr. Divx. I think you could get better results using Virtualdub MPEG2, though it is a little more complicated than Dr. Divx. Check the guides section for mpg-to-divx conversions.

Thanks for info m8...well i am planing to watch on pc....but that problrm is also when i watch progdvb (what would be the best codec for "no ghost" effect)...

A particular codec isn't going to fix the problem. There are probably Avisynth and/or Virtualdub filters that can alleviate ghosting but I haven't had to actually use one yet. I'm sure someone else will be able to offer a suggestion. I'd like to know the answer myself.
