Without checking the calc, if the movie is about 120 minutes then that looks correct.

So the bitrate the calc gives u use it for avg bitrate when doing vbr? When doing cbr, which is what I normally use. You only get one bitrate option, this is what confuesed me. I was not to sure if there was another calc for working out avg, min & max bitrates.

Correct but don't use 9000 as max. The encoders aren't that precise. It may go above that and once you add the audio it may go above the DVD limit. Standalone players may have a problem with that. Don't go above 8000 ~ 8500.For example avg = 4648 min=2000 max=9000 -
You don't need to calculate the max and min values. Just go as close to the min and max rates as you can, say 1000 and 8000 or so.
