    Hi,

Does anyone know of a peice of hardware o software that allowa you to capture NTSC and PAL video on without having to have two cards or seperate software. I'm buildinga new PC and I need a good gaming card, but I also need a good video capture solution. I own an ATI AIW 128 (16MB) and it's great except that I can ony capture in NTSC. I like capturing high frame(720 x 480 and if possible 768 x 576)and high quality video. Is there anything out there that can do this and deliver excellent quality? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Also price isn't too much of an object here, but I want to do this as cheaply as possible. Is there a "multi-system" TV tuner card on the market? Or could I somehow get my 16MB AIW 128 to capture in both PAL and NTSC formats? Any help here would be appreciated.

I'm planning on building an Athlon based PC. I've read on Dazzle's website that the Athlon has problems working with the DVC 2. I'm a perfectionist of sorts and I don't mind capturing a big AVI then using Ligos' encoder to create an MPEG file. Does anyone know how to get an NTSC AIW 128 to capture in PAL as well? Call me crazy but I think the PC industry should get with it since multi-system VCRs have been around for years.
Sigh! I guess my only option would be to purchase an NTSC and a PAL capture solution or to deal with the nightmarish set-up process for something on the high end scale.

To all that replied thank you! I believe I'm going to purchase the Canpus DV-Storm (which can capture in NTSC and PAL).
