I am trying to take the Eagles Live DVD and cut the live tracks for burning onto a normal cdr for a friend... I've extracted the audio and converted it to a wav file.. are there any good programs that can help me cut out each track? ie.. editing the tracks by time? for example, i'm listening to it in winamp, i write down the start and end times of the first track, second track, etc.. then cut it by these numbers? I've never done this so any recommendations would be great!!!!

Use smartripper and (>settings) split the file by chapters. I guess each chapter is a song.

hmmmm...... smartripper does the first vob file fine.. then keep searching for a key forever, then finally says use previous key.. i do and I assume it works.. but that was for ripping the entire thing.. i'll try it tonite.. if it doesn't work.. are there other dvdripping software that would also do this function? by chapters i mean..
thx truman. -
I highly recommend you rip the entire DVD to your hard drive, preserving the structural integrity of the VOBs. DO NOT RIP BY CHAPTER IN SMARTRIPPER. If you do, you will hear tiny annoying breaks in the sequence of the live audio.
Once you rip the VOBs, set up a DVD2Avi project just as if you were preparing to make a VCD. Use DVD2Avi to normalize and downsample your audio. The audio must be at 44.1kHz for CDDA (regular audio CD).
Take this giant WAV file and drag and drop it into a Nero Audio CD layout. Right-click on the file (or maybe double-click it) from within Nero and you will get a pop-up window that will let you drop track markers throughout the entire WAV file without creating the annoying breaks, thereby preserving the continuity of the live concert.
