    I am looking for a converter that will do AVI to MPEG. I have tried a couple and they either do only half the AVI file or the audio and video don't synch up.

    Does anyone have a converter and used it for AVI toi MPEG without problems?
    If everything is infinite then nothing is definite.

    Have you not noticed that most of us here use TMPGEnc or CINEMA CRAFT ENCODER or Mainconcept MPEG encoder ?!?!?

    Yup. TMPGEnc or MainConcept for me. If you have issues with one of those, it's 99.99% of the time related to incompatible/bad source material.
