I currently have a Dazzle DVC-80, don't laugh, and it stinks. For analog capture of 8mm tapes, which is better, Canopus ADVC-100, or the cheaper priced DataVision DAC-100? Or is there a better option? Thanks.

I,ve updated my profile, I have a P4 3.2, with 120G WD HD, 1 Gig Ram, Dazzle DVC-80, etc. Just looking for the best overall card/box to capture old 8mm tapes, edit then burn to DVD. Thanks.

Did you read the comments for each in the capture "card" section?Originally Posted by doodah12

I am using ATI AIW now after having bad experiences with KWorld - twice, two of them died within 6 months.
Avoid KWorld at all costs.
