totaly confused... HELP

i purchased a ati aiw 7500 video card. i am trying to go from my analog vid-camera to my pc. i did this successfully. the quality came out poor like mpeg. is there a way to clean it up so its much clearer? Im using microsoft movie maker. if there is something better, please let know where i can download it for free

the video card is a pain to figure out. i need step for step directions on how to clear it up.please use language i can understand since im new to this stuff. no complicated words.

I run this same video card. It is anything but poor.
Make sure you have the latest drivers installed. Not the ones that came on the cd with the card. And use MMC 8.1 or better for captures.
There is much better software out there than "Movie Maker" too.

And ditto on checking out Lordsmurf's site. It's a must.
