Hello! I was using win 98 SE and lately i have decided to move to XP and since I installed the XP I ran into a conversion problem.
I searched the entire forum for a an answer to my problem but it seems that no one has encountered a similar problem so now i'm asking for your help friends!
I'm trying to convert a DivX/XviD Only Video file (no audio) to MPEG-1/2 (does'nt matter if 1/2 in my case) with TMPGEnc and I use the frameserver method with VirtualDub but when I'm trying to load my.vdr file into TMPGEnc I get an eror like in the following picture
I was not experiencing this problem when I had the 98 SE OS. am i doing something wrong???
I tryied to uninstall my K-Lite Codec Pack and reinstalling it again but it didnt help. does it has anything to do with codec pack???
plz help me solving this problem.
any help wolud be greatly appreciated.

Codec packs don't help. Just install the codecs you need.
I take it you've run the auxsetup.exe utility ?
Try uninstalling and reinstalling Tmpgenc.

I installed the frame server handler and I iven cheked it by opening another instance of VirtualDub and the loaded the VDR into VirtualDub and it loaded with no problems. this proves that there is nothing wrong with VirtualDub so it's must be another problem.I take it you've run the auxsetup.exe utility ?
I tryied that too but nothing happened, i'm still having this problem?Try uninstalling and reinstalling Tmpgenc.
Anyone???

Did you do an upgrade to WinXP from 98?
Did you try to uninstall TMPGEnc and reinstall? At the very least delete the TMPGEnc.ini file and reopen TMPGEnc!
If you installed TMPGEnc in Win98 and then upgraded to WinXP you should expect problems like that. -
yes, I already tryied that and it didnt helped me.Originally Posted by au7usa
