I'm a newbie who's had pretty good luck converting DV video to DVD, so far, but I haven't really done much but build a menu and put in some transistions.
Now I've got many hours of my kids games that I want to really slice up (maybe 5-8 minutes per 60 minutes of raw video) but not enough hard drive to hold hours of raw video.
Short of stopping and starting the camcorder, is there a good way to edit out large chunks of video and actually remove the cut portions from the hard drive to conserve space?
Thanks

200 gigs, shouldn't be a problem.
1) Capture a tape, edit and keep what you want, and save it as a new .AVI clip..
2) Dump the main movie.(keep the 5 minute clip)..
Repeat steps 1 and 2...
