  1. I have been thinking about buying the Epson R300 printer to print on my CD's and DVD's. I have a question that I hope is not lame. Can you put a blank white label on a non printable disk and use that printer to print it with or do you always have to use the white printable media? I just have a lot of non printable disks to use up. Thanks.

I am not sure, but I will try it with my Epson 900. What a great Idea if it works. Will keep you posted.

  3. You could do that buy why would you when it makes more sense to print on the label first.

When you get around to buying the injet printable media I have had real god results using these 4X DVD-R http://store.yahoo.com/yesbuy/prinwhitinpr.html .

Just tried your idea, and will probably not do it again. I put a stomper label on a optium DVD and sent it through the Epson 900. It did a fine job of printing the label, however I noticed that there were air bubbles and ink on the center ring, which in turn came off on my fingers as I wiped the disk. I guess I will save my pennies and order some that are ink jet compatable as Bob W. suggested. It is a novel idea tho.
